I am using a Strug for Moto G7 Play Case, which has a metal patch that works very well with this mount. So I didn't have to use the metal patches provided with this mount. I highly recommend the combination of the two products (Stug case and this mount).The product works exactly like advertised and the magnet is strong and will secure your phone in place. I would recommend playing around with the orientation before applying the mount. I'm seeing some reviews of people unable to mount their phones vertically, but if you apply the mount near the edge of the dashboard then you should be just fine.There was one small issue with the 3M adhesive that came with the mount. The adhesive was really tough and was not sticking properly to the dashboard of my car, probably because of how cold it was in my car when I was doing the installation. However, I was able to resolve this issue by swapping out the old adhesive with a replacement that was provided and I ran the heater in my car. I cleaned the surface of the dashboard with the wet and dry cloths provided in the package, reapplied the mount, pressed down firmly on the mount for about 30 seconds and then let the adhesive bond with the dashboard surface overnight. It was ready to use when I got in the car in the morning to mount my phone with the case.

I have 2 of these in my Jeep (2 different places ‘cause I like variety 😉) Easy to stick on the dash, and the 2 magnets are pretty strong. It’s keeping my iPhone 12 Pro Max (quite a heavy phone) in place very well!

I have the iphone 12 pro max which is a big phone and i was sceptical that the mount might not keep it in placeor position , but it most certainly did. The package comes with a selection of flat metal adhesive plates of different shapes that you stick on your phone or case to secure the phone to the mount, it also provides clear stick ons to protect the finish of your phone or case. When i read the couple reviews of how the mount would not stick i know they were applying it wrong, you just wipe the area where you are going to apply the mount with the degreaser/cleaner alcohol wipes and to make sure it sticks just warm and only warm (especially in winter, you will not have to do this in summer) the areas where you want to put this and the adhesive pad on the mount then press it on while gently rocking it with pressure.I am tired of people giving a good product a bad rap when they are the ones at fault. This advice i have given can and should be used when applying anything with a similar scenario. I am a genuine amazon customer that has been in the automobile industry for years mounting everything from number plates back up and i do not have time to review too many products, but i felt that i had to give this one my support. Cons-1) Have minor imperfections (aesthetic).2) Not so good for horizontal/near horizontal surfaces, if you install it on horizontal surface then you will have problem with degree of freedom (i.e. angular movement of the phone, the phone will face more towards car roof rather facing you), that will cause more problem for short height people.Pros-1) Perfect for vertical/near vertical surfaces.2)" Definitely a value for money" if installed vertically/ near vertically.Suggestions for customers1) Properly follow the instructions given in the manual.2) If you live in cold weather conditions then turn on the heater of your car and let the car environment to heat up ( this will help you automatically heatup the place where you want to install the mount).Meanwhile you can heat up your 3M tape present on the mount by holding it in front of the air vent(rather than struggling with hair dryer).Note- Only remove 3M sticker on the tape after heating, this will prevent your tape to catch dust particles flowing through or around the vents."Hope the above procedure will help someone 🙏 "Suggestions for manufacturers.1) Needs better handling/tooling to avoid these small dents or need QA before painting the manufactured parts.2) The problem of degree of freedom for horizontal surfaces can be solved by increasing the neck length.3)Then if you sell a pair of mount-1 same length and another with increased length, customers will be happy to purchase it even for few more extra dollars.

Nice and smallI installed in 2 different vehicles. One had a very smooth surface one had a textured surface, as in photo. Both adhered well. I installed them and left them for a couple days before using.The only complaints someone could have. 1. The magnets don't hold as well if you have a case over them. I put mine on the outside and it worked great. 2. Because there is such a short "arm" you have to mount it to the face of the dash, not on top (or your phone would be pointing at the ceiling)Note: I did not try off-roading so I don't know how they would hold. Worked great for highway drivingI would buy again

It isn't huge and fits my dash very well. Do follow the instructions. The suction gets better over time like it says. It holds my phone in it's heavy case. Good value. Glad to have 2 of them.
